The Dax ended a strong month with small gains. The leading German index closed 0.08 percent higher today at 13,253.74 points. For the month just ended, there was an increase of 9.41 percent and thus one of the best October results in the history of the stock market barometer.
Most recently, hopes of easing inflationary pressures had prompted investors to be more confident about the future. The MDax of medium-sized stocks rose by 0.11 percent to 23,678.05 points at the beginning of the week.
