Mr. Gottschalk, after the comeback of “Wetten, dass ..?” last year you moderated a second revival of the show on November 19th. How do you explain that an old white man is still at the forefront? I don’t want to make this a triumph of the old white man, even though we’re made worse than we are. The success has certainly been a mixture of nostalgia and curiosity. Many spectators, annoyed by Corona, just wanted it to be like it used to be: The nation is sitting around the campfire and I’m the happy guy in the colorful suit who puts the wood on.
