Hundreds of thousands of gold diggers and loggers operate illegally in the Amazon rainforest. 30,000 alone are said to have invaded the “Terra Indígena Yanomami”, the largest reserve in Brazil for which you are responsible. does that work? This number is plausible. I say that because I’ve been there a few times myself and verified the camps. There are individual gold mining camps with 100 huts. Five gold diggers live in each hut. So that’s already 500 in one camp. And that’s distributed throughout the entire indigenous area – there are already a lot of people coming together.
How many illegal camps are there in the Yanomami reservation? About 100 to 200.
