Fifty fifty. So there is a chance that the old Bögra foundry will still be producing in Germany at the end of 2023. That’s what Tobias Linser, managing director of the Solingen-based company, says, looking so frightened as if he were hearing the bad news himself for the first time. He will have to help decide whether the Bögra company will soon, almost 110 years after it was founded, produce its coveted high-tech plain bearings and finished parts for the automotive industry in the Czech Republic. The medium-sized company from the Bergisches Land can hardly afford Germany anymore.
