After the termination of his contract at VfL Wolfsburg, Max Kruse is looking for a new club. Or as he calls it: a new “adventure”. There might even be a surprise.

Again and again Max Kruse causes discussions with his appearance and some public statements. This also includes the inglorious end of his time in Wolfsburg. Niko Kovac had decided some time ago that he no longer wanted to rely on the offensive player. Today it is clear: That was the beginning of the end between the club and the player.

At the beginning of this week, the joint contract was terminated. Kruse is currently looking for a new club.

But of course the 34-year-old doesn’t put it that simply. He explained via his Instagram account, through which he regularly communicates with his fans and followers: “You know me people, I’m always good for surprises, so let’s be surprised, I don’t want to give any insights yet.”

What Kruse defines as a surprise remains – at least for the time being – his secret. There probably won’t be too many potential buyers anymore. After all, it has become clear over the last few months that, despite all his abilities, he seems to place less value on discipline and good form.

“I’m taking my time to decide which adventure comes next,” Kruse continued. But there will definitely be another adventure, he promised his fans. So he is far from thinking about the end of his career.

The scenario that he will now be on the lookout for several months will not occur either. Instead, he is already taking a look at the coming weeks: “The transfer period will start again in a month.”

“I’m now healthy and fit, passed all the tests and can start playing football again. That means I’m going to get really fit now,” he also announced his return to the pitch.
