A woman was injured in a fire in a family home in the Gießen district. The 66-year-old from Langgöns was taken to a hospital on Tuesday evening with mild smoke poisoning, the police said on Wednesday. She had previously been woken up by a smoke detector along with an 87-year-old woman. Both were able to leave the house without help. The fire is said to have caused property damage of around 200,000 euros. The entire upper floor of the two-story house burned down. No information has yet been given about the cause of the fire.
