Borussia Dortmund striker Sébastien Haller could join the Bundesliga team again at the beginning of the new year.

According to information from the German Press Agency, the Revierclub is confident that the 28-year-old, who was diagnosed with a testicular tumor in the pre-season, could return to the team at BVB’s training camp in Marbella in January. The “Bild” and the “WAZ” had previously reported on Tuesday about a possible return to the training ground in January.

About a month ago, Haller wrote that he had survived a second operation well. The attacker thanked the medical staff in a post on social media. In a photo on Twitter and Instagram, Haller can be seen smiling in the hospital bed and has spread two fingers of his right hand to the victory sign. Most recently he attended the World Cup in Qatar.

Haller was signed by Ajax Amsterdam in the summer for the BVB record sum of over 30 million euros. Dortmund had always emphasized that the attacker alone decides when to return and that the club does not put him under pressure.
