Law enforcement sources and experts on explosions spilled the beans to The Times about this 25-year-old suspect, Guy Edward Bartkus. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it out alive from the blast that wrecked the American Reproductive Centers building and left four people injured. This whole thing is being treated as a deliberate act of terrorism, so you know it’s serious stuff.
So, the FBI confirmed through DNA testing that Bartkus was the man behind the attack. They found out he was living in a house in Twentynine Palms, a small desert town, where they found even more explosive stuff. The FBI is all over the place, trying to figure out where he got all these materials from. Some people near the blast site were allowed to go back home, but the investigation is far from over. It seems like Bartkus had some connection to the military base nearby, but the Marine Corps quickly shut down any ideas about him being one of theirs.
