Authorities in the Pakistani capital Islamabad ordered the evacuation of schools and universities on Monday due to the threat of terrorism.
As the German Press Agency learned from secret service circles, there were specific terrorist threats against three universities that are administered by the military.
According to informed sources, the police and military presence in the city has been increased. There have been a number of attacks in Pakistan recently, mostly carried out by militant Islamist groups. In Pakistan, elections for the National Assembly and provincial assemblies are scheduled for February 8th.
