The number of people killed since the war began in the Gaza Strip has risen to 31,045, according to the Hamas-controlled health authority. The authority said 72,654 Palestinians were also injured. Accordingly, 85 people are said to have been killed and 130 others injured in the past 24 hours alone.

According to the authorities, a total of 25 people starved to death or died of thirst in the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the coastal strip. The numbers cannot be independently verified.

According to the UN and other observers, the agency’s information has proven to be generally credible in the past. The numbers do not distinguish between civilians and armed members of terrorist organizations.

The Gaza war was triggered by the worst massacre in Israel’s history, carried out by terrorists from the Islamist Hamas and other extremist groups on October 7th in Israel near the border with Gaza. Around 1,200 people were killed on the Israeli side.
