n-n-out-burger-expands-with-three-california-locations-by-2025

In-N-Out Burger is like totally expanding its footprint in California and beyond, you know? The beloved burger joint recently added like three new locations in California: Indio, Modesto, and Monrovia. These new spots are set to open in 2025 alongside a previously announced site in Sylmar, Calif., and three other locations across Arizona, Colorado, and Washington — which is like a big deal because it’s In-N-Out’s debut in the state. The first new restaurant, in Brighton, Colo., opened its doors last Friday, according to In-N-Out spokesperson Kathleen Hardesty. The rest of the stores are still like under construction and expected to open this year, but like, they can’t give us an exact date because construction is like so unpredictable, you know?

In-N-Out currently operates in like eight states, with like over two-thirds of its stores in California. The burger chain has been focusing on expanding in areas with like high population growth, according to Jim Salera, a restaurant industry analyst at Stephens. They’re looking at places with lots of people moving in and out, like inland cities in California and other hot spots out of state. Salera was like, “California was always a state that had a faster growing population, and now you see that more in areas like Arizona, Texas, Florida, Tennessee. I don’t think it’s coincidental that if you start to look at places where these restaurants are opening up new spots, it’s that same list of states.”

The continued out-of-state expansion for In-N-Out isn’t about like running away from California, Salera explained. It’s more about optimizing their footprint and making sure their stores don’t like compete with each other too much. By opening locations outside California, they can like attract customers who already know and love them, especially like California expats in the Pacific Northwest and the Sun Belt. In-N-Out’s first location outside of California opened in Las Vegas back in 1992. And now, they’re planning to expand even further east with new restaurants and an eastern territory office in Tennessee in 2026.

Earlier this year, In-N-Out announced they would be shutting down their Orange County corporate office and moving employees back to Baldwin Park. Lynsi Snyder, the third-generation owner, said the move was all about bringing the In-N-Out family back together to better serve their customers. She was like, “We want to make sure our customers are our top priority, you know?”

The new In-N-Out locations include Indio, Calif. at 82177 Ave. 42, Modesto, Calif. at 3401 Oakdale Road, Monrovia, Calif. at 560 W. Huntington Drive, Sylmar, Calif. at 13864 Foothill Blvd, Surprise, Ariz. at 16440 W. Cactus Road, Brighton, Colo. at 3860 Eagle Blvd, and Ridgefield, Wash. at 5801 Pioneer Canyon Drive. So like, if you’re in these areas, be on the lookout for some delicious burgers coming your way soon!
