Professor Wolffsohn, we are currently experiencing a depressing increase in anti-Semitism and anti-Jewish threats. Was it imaginable for you to this extent? Not to this extent, but structurally yes. This can only be explained by the country’s demographic development. Islam has traditionally exhibited anti-Jewish attitudes, fueled by the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Of course this is not the only anti-Semitism, there is the traditional right-wing extremist, there is the left-wing, and the pinstripe anti-Semitism of a seemingly better society.
