Actress and producer Quinta Brunson (33, “Abbott Elementary”) doesn’t think much of setting up her own prices at home: “I think that looks a bit disgusting,” she told the industry magazine People.
She explained, “Once you have multiple awards, I think it’s totally crazy just to have them all on one table.” She therefore plans to set up her trophies in her office at the film and television company Warner Bros.: “Other film producers do that too.”
The comedy series Abbott Elementary, about a Philadelphia elementary school, is one of the big winners of this year’s awards season. At the Golden Globes, the series won three trophies, including an award for Best Comedy and another for Best Comedy Lead Quinta Brunson, who is also the creator and producer of the series.
The production won Best Comedy Series at the Critics Choice Awards. The Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series award went to the cast of “Abbott Elementary” at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. And over the weekend, Brunson also snagged the Film Independent Spirit Awards for Best Actress in a New Script-Based Series.
