Of course, the show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” has a special meaning for Pietro Lombardi, 30. He won here in 2011 and has been a fixture in the German celebrity scene ever since. Here he also met his son’s mother, Sarah, from whom he is now divorced. She was the runner-up then. When he was asked if he would like to be on the jury in the current DSDS season alongside Dieter Bohlen, Leony and Katja Krasavice, Pietro naturally agreed.
And the 30-year-old is now an idol for many participants. Candidate Devin turned out to be a special fan, who even auditioned with the same three songs as Pietro Lombardi at the time. “Senorita”, “Cinderella” and “Phenomenal”. However, he was missing an accessory without which one hardly ever sees the real Pietro: a kepi.
And, as the 30-year-old reveals, there are reasons: he doesn’t like himself without a hat at all. “Without a cap, I’m in the top three of the ugliest people in Germany,” he harshly judges himself. Nevertheless, he was softened into lending his cap to the candidate for a convincing performance. Albeit with a face like he has a toothache. Pietro joked that his current partner might even leave him if she saw him like this on TV and that RTL should better retouch a cap on his head.
Without his cap, Pietro looks like a completely normal, well-groomed young man. He even had the upper section of hair dyed silver blonde. But even from the jury colleagues direct remarks like: “Better put it back on!” But the 30-year-old wants his cap to bring luck to the contestant, and Devin doesn’t put on a bad performance. Although he is built a little narrower than Pietro, the jury’s verdict: “Pietro, he looks like you!” Whether it will be enough for the candidate to advance – that will only be revealed on the show on Wednesday evening.
