Top model Toni Garrn (31) relies on a lot of exercise, a healthy diet and the ice cream barrel to stay fit and healthy: “With over 30 and after pregnancy, my body has also changed – before the lingerie and swimwear shoot for Lascana I have quite a bit trained disciplinedly in the gym to feel comfortable in my skin,” she reveals. Garrn is working with the label on the new spring/summer 2024 collection.

Toni Garrn: I love East Africa, especially Uganda. Nature is fantastic and the people are particularly open and nowhere else does the food taste as good as it does here. A lot grows in Uganda, hence the wonderfully green landscape and the fresh vegetables and fruit. I’m also a huge fan of Greece. I grew up there. Many friends live there. It is my favorite country. I especially recommend Paros to everyone as a holiday destination in spring or summer. As a city, New York is still my absolute iconic destination. The city is my second home; I have never lived anywhere longer in my life. There is so much to do there and there is something going on 24 hours a day.

Garrn: I currently prefer to wear bikinis in bright or bright colors, but patterns can also look pretty good on tanned skin. I particularly liked a white bandeau bikini at Lascana, it always fits!

Garrn: Of course I can only speak for myself. For summer I love linen suits that have a loose and airy cut. I also like to wear basic tops, which come in many summery colors and can be combined well with casual jeans, for example.

Garrn: My absolute must-have is a light, knee-length summer dress. It’s versatile, whether on the beach as a cover-up or for a night out on the town. It is also pleasantly airy in warm temperatures. Plus a well-fitting bikini and very comfortable shoes – that’s actually enough for me for the summer.

Garrn: I believe in a balanced lifestyle that includes regular exercise, a healthy diet and enough rest. In my 30s and after pregnancy, my body has also changed – before the lingerie and swimwear shoot, I trained quite disciplinedly in the gym to feel comfortable in my skin. In addition to the visual aspect, I had completely forgotten how much sport can also have a positive effect on mental health. I now feel so much more vital overall. Strict diets or excessive training are not my approach. It’s more about a healthy relationship with your body and a positive attitude towards your own well-being.

Garrn: I try to exercise regularly, at least three to four times a week. To do this, I go to the gym and do a mix of Pilates, cardio and strength training. I also go to the ice cream bin regularly. My goal is a healthy, strong body.

Garrn: Self-doubt is human and I know it too. At the same time, visual things are not as important to me as many people might think. Rather, it is an inner attitude that grows through self-acceptance, self-love and self-confidence. I feel self-confident when I am at peace with myself, which also includes treating myself well, for example by exercising enough or eating a balanced diet, and of course also treating others.

Garrn: It is important to accept and appreciate your own body, regardless of social norms or standards. It’s about trusting yourself and being authentic. In my opinion, self-care and self-love are the key to a positive body image. I always try to focus on the positive, laugh a lot and dance – that’s what I always do anyway.

Garrn: Balancing work and family is a challenge that I overcome every day. Just like many other working mothers. It requires organization, flexibility and a strong social environment. I set clear priorities and consciously make time for my family.

Garrn: Yes, my daughter often accompanies me on my trips, especially when they are longer stays. It’s important for me to spend time with my family and share common experiences, no matter where we are.

Garrn: Above all, I want to teach my daughter values such as respect, empathy and courage. I want to encourage them to stand up for their beliefs, to be true to themselves and to work for a more just and sustainable world.
