“The Lion’s Den” got off to a strong start in the spring season. 1.88 million viewers tuned in to VOX on Monday at 8:15 p.m. during prime time. The opening episode of the 13th season of the start-up show was also shown on the streaming service RTL.

“Die Höhle der Löwen” did particularly well in the advertising-relevant target group of 18 to 49-year-old viewers. 840,000 people from this age range watched the program. This corresponds to a strong market share of 15 percent.

“DHDL” took the day’s victory in prime time in the target group. No competitor attracted more young viewers to the screen. VOX hung with the target audience “Who wants to be a millionaire?” of the parent station RTL. The quiz with Günther Jauch (66) once again won the day for the total audience on a Monday, with 3.31 million viewers.

“The Lion’s Den” also scored well with the extended target group. The show achieved a market share of 11.8 percent among 14-59 year olds.

Compared to the start of the last autumn season, “Die Höhle der Löwen” was able to follow suit. By late summer 2022, 200,000 fewer people had tuned in.

Compared to the last spring season, the new episode had to accept losses. In the spring of 2022, the first episode of the season had broken the two million viewer mark.

Tillman Schulz (33) was able to celebrate a successful debut with the ratings. Born in Dortmund from a family of entrepreneurs with a focus on food, he is the youngest investor in the history of DHDL.

Only in the next episode does a second newcomer celebrate their debut. Janna Ensthaler (38) complements the group of investors in the 13th season.
