The pop singer Ben Zucker (“So what?!”) In the face of more and more new crises in the world, he tends to stay away from the news. “I’m not ignoring that, but I’m already in my bubble,” said the 39-year-old in an interview with Schlager Radio.
“I live up on the coast, everything is nice in my village and everything is relaxed there,” said Zucker. The Ukraine war, for example, took a toll on him. “It was a moment when I thought: What’s wrong with the world? Why are we doing such shit? It all goes against the grain for me. That weighed heavily on me, emotionally too. Corona before that anyway .”
Since then he has withdrawn a lot from daily events and hardly looks at the news anymore – certainly no live tickers, said the singer. “I don’t take that into account. Maybe that’s ignorant on my part. Maybe I should deal with it more. But I realize it’s not good for my heart.”
The whole interview can be heard on Schlager Radio this Sunday. Schlager Radio can be heard on VHF in Berlin and Brandenburg as well as Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, but can also be received digitally.
