Eliminated after her “best dance”: Entrepreneur Sally Özcan has to leave the RTL show “Let’s Dance”. Although the jury was satisfied with the performance of the 34-year-old, Özcan lacked the audience’s votes on Friday evening. The entrepreneur, who is one of the best-known baking and cooking youtubers, put a Charleston on the floor with professional dancer Massimo Sinató in the fifth show of the season.

“Of all your shows, what you’ve danced so far, that was your best dance,” judge Motsi Mabuse said afterwards. The strict juror Joachim Llambi also praised Özcan’s synchronicity with Sinató and her full commitment to the end. “Very decent performance today,” he stated.

Llambi: “That was two steps back today”

With a total of 22 points awarded by the jury, the entrepreneur was well ahead of actress Sharon Battiste (31), who was only able to score 19 points with her quick step that evening. “Basically, I wanted to put up the candles that it’s over quickly,” said Llambi about the second half of Battiste’s performance. “That was two steps back today.”

The jury’s verdict for star chef Ali Güngörmüs was even worse. Llambi put the 46-year-old in a row with former “Let’s Dance” participants like Jan Hofer and Mickie Krause, who, according to the judge, “couldn’t do much”, but “knew how to entertain”. There were only 15 jury points for Güngörmüs’ Samba, but in the end the audience decided in favor of the star chef and the actress.

This time model Anna Ermakova (23) got the highest number of points with a quick step, but ex-professional gymnast Philipp Boy (35) was also able to impress with his contemporary and score a full 30 points. “How does Valentin get so much out of you?” Asked juror Llambi, who was impressed by Ermakova’s progress with dance partner Valentin Lusin. “Sometimes I have the feeling that you don’t have 24 hours in a day, but twice as many hours.”

Knossi: “She is so calm with me”

Twitch star Jens “Knossi” Knossalla finished third with 26 points. The 36-year-old said of his dance partner Isabel Edvardsson: “She is so calm with me. I often have the feeling that she has to be a bit of a kindergarten teacher with me.”

With Özcan’s departure, nine celebrity candidates are still in the running next week. For the first time, the dancing couples should be separated from each other. “Every celebrity gets a new professional by their side,” announced moderator Victoria Swarovski. After Easter, the celebrities should dance again with their previous partners.
