Prince William (41) could return to work as early as next week. This is what the Daily Mail’s royal expert, Rebecca English, suspects in the show “Palace Confidential”. Three high-ranking royals are currently not working for the monarchy. The British heir to the throne William looks after his wife, Princess Kate (42), who is recovering from abdominal surgery at home in Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. The couple’s three children, Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (8) and Prince Louis (5), are also looked after by William with the support of a nanny. In addition, King Charles (75) is out. He is recovering after prostate surgery.
Rebecca English has now told the Daily Mail that a sense of normality should return to the royals by the end of next week. The royal expert therefore assumes that William will then be seen at some public appearances. As soon as Kate has settled back in at home, he will probably go back to work. The Princess of Wales returned home earlier this week after about two weeks in hospital.
According to English, it could take longer for King Charles to return to the public eye. The royal family expert believes he will probably recover in private by the end of the month. She suspects he will “go to the country for rest for the next two or three weeks, perhaps to Windsor or Highgrove.” The monarch was also released from the clinic on Monday.
Princess Kate will probably not attend public appointments again until after Easter. What exactly is missing from Prince William’s wife has not been revealed. The palace said Kate would like her “personal medical information to remain private.”
