The Jungle Camp 2024 will start on RTL in just a few days. The twelve prominent participants are currently in Australia and are preparing in one way or another for their entry into the camp. But while “GZSZ” actor Felix von Jascheroff (41) eats fewer meals and caffeine in order to prepare for the coming privations on “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” reality star Mike Heiter (31), known from “Love Island” and “The Summer House of the Stars,” among others, is obviously taking a slightly different approach: The 31-year-old revealed on Instagram that he had taken up smoking before the jungle camp .
In a recent story on the social network, Elena Miras’s ex-partner (31) explains that until recently he had never smoked cigarettes in his life. But Heiter had resorted to “flavored e-cigarettes” in the past before switching to nicotine patches, which, when placed in the mouth, release nicotine into the body through the mucous membranes.
However, these so-called nicotine patches, which Heiter says he has been using for five years, are banned in the Australian bush – in contrast to conventional cigarettes. So Heiter decided to do this on “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” ensure a regular supply of nicotine.
Because the “Are You The One” participant thinks that the jungle camp is not the right place to give up nicotine consumption, “because in the jungle you are so stressed out on your nerves, because of not enough sleep and food and everything. There is I think it’s quite good to have nicotine.”
After the jungle camp, however, Heiter plans to give up the unhealthy habit again. On Instagram he is not particularly impressed by the taste of a smoked cigarette. “It tastes like shit, it’s not for me,” says Heiter before he has to cough and advises his followers: “Definitely don’t do that.”
The 17th season of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” starts on Friday (January 19th) at 8:15 p.m. on RTL and its streaming service RTL.
