Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi (26) spoke for the first time about his new girlfriend in a radio interview with British broadcaster BBC Radio 2. Ellis MacDowall (23) makes him a “happy guy,” said the musician. Capaldi, who keeps his private life largely private, and MacDowall first appeared together at this year’s Brit Awards in February. His girlfriend is a “lovely lady” and he feels good. Everything is going “really well”.

Capaldi celebrated his final breakthrough in 2018 with the world hit “Someone You Loved”. In September 2022, the singer announced that he had been diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. In March he suffered from dizzy spells after severe bronchitis and had to postpone some concerts. He also revealed that he suffered from anxiety. His illnesses are also discussed in the current Netflix documentary “Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now”. In early April, he announced in an interview with the “Sunday Times” that he was seriously considering retiring. There is a “real possibility” that he will have to “give up” music because of his fragile health.
