Renata Lusin (36) is overjoyed after the birth of her daughter Stella. But until the little one was there, the “Let’s Dance” professional dancer and her husband Valentin (37) had to go through a lot. “It was a difficult birth,” she revealed to her Instagram followers on Sunday (March 24).

“There are no words to describe how overjoyed and incredibly grateful we are,” she wrote in a video that she and her husband shared on their Instagram pages. She continued: “It was a difficult birth, but Valentin was such a great support to me and didn’t fall over.” She then revealed that she was in labor for more than 37 hours: “The contractions started on March 19th at 11 p.m. and our daughter was born naturally on March 21st at 12:28 p.m.” She had previously said in an “Bild” interview that they were the “two hardest days of her life”. “In the end you quickly forget all the pain, but this birth was more strenuous than any ‘Let’s Dance’ relay or any World Championships!”

Now the couple can recover and come together as a family. In return, they receive the active support of Renata Lusin’s mother: “Now we are enjoying our time getting to know each other at home and being cooked deliciously by mom. The love is indescribable.”

In the current season of the RTL show “Let’s Dance” Valentin Lusin dances with the influencer Ann-Kathrin Bendixen (24). However, because of the birth, she had to make do with replacement partner Mika Tatarkin (27) last Friday. With the tango she was able to secure her entry into the next show. Last year, Valentin Lusin won the dance show with Anna Ermakova (24). Renata Lusin has also achieved success. She took victory in 2021 with Rúrik Gíslason (36). She is sitting out the current 17th season because of her pregnancy. She was also absent from season 16 due to pregnancy, but suffered a miscarriage.

The Lusins have been together for around 20 years and married since 2014. They have been part of “Let’s Dance” since 2018. In their private lives they went through hard times and had to cope with three miscarriages.
