With emotional words, actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus (62) reported on her miscarriage, which she suffered in her 20s. In the new episode of her podcast, “Wiser Than Me,” the star of shows like “Seinfeld” and “Veep” describes her “complete nightmare”. This is reported, among other things, by the “People” magazine.

She has been married to fellow actor Brad Hall (65) since 1987, and the couple really wanted to have children. “When I was about 28 years old, I got pregnant for the first time and was incredibly happy,” she recalls more than three decades later in conversation with her guest, cook Ruth Reichl (75). She got pregnant easily: “I felt very fertile, very feminine. And then, quite late in the pregnancy, my husband Brad and I discovered that this little fetus would not survive.”

She describes the situation as “emotionally devastating”. Everything became a “complete nightmare” after she developed an infection and had to go to the hospital for a few days. “I finally got out of the hospital and home to recover, but I haven’t been allowed to get out of bed yet.” She had been bedridden for a long time. Her mother was a big help: “She made this incredible chili in a cast-iron skillet with cornbread.” After the sad experience, the couple later managed to have children: in 1992 and 1997 they had their sons Henry (30) and Charlie (25).
