Heino (85) is currently working on his next album “Lieder meine Heimat”, which, according to the website, is due to be released on August 18th. But what sounds like folk music isn’t. Instead, the musician covers the “biggest party hits”.
This means party hits from the Ballermann hotspots Bierkönig, Megapark and Co. “My two singles ‘Ten Naked Hairdressers’ and ‘Go get a beer’ have already been released,” says Heino. “I’m looking forward to this adventure and wish you all a lot of fun and a lot of fun – with me.”
In an interview with “RTL”, Heino says of the Ballermann hits: Among them are “beautiful songs” and that’s exactly what he wants to “make popular again”.
Heino explains that ten years after his surprise coup with his rock cover album “Best regards” (2013), he is once again venturing into unfamiliar territory: “You have to keep up with the times. The songs change, the people change , and we’re getting older. What good is it to me if I sing the best hit and nobody wants to hear it?” For the summer he announces “a big whirl with a band”.
There was also a big stir with his first cover album because he hadn’t asked the artists beforehand. This time, too, he borrowed the songs without permission. “Ten naked hairdressers” and “Go get some beer” originally came from singer Mickie Krause (52). But apparently he has absolutely nothing against it: “Basically, Heino sets a monument to the party scene and it makes me proud and happy that Heino sings the ‘Ten Naked Hairdressers’,” explains the Ballermann star.
