Rapper Takeoff from the hip-hop group Migos is dead. As the celebrity portal “TMZ” reports, the 28-year-old was shot dead in a bowling center in Houston on Tuesday night.

He is said to have been there around 2:30 a.m. with his bandmate Quavo when an argument broke out and someone opened fire. The rapper was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not yet confirmed the victim’s identity, but officials said members Quavo and Takeoff of popular rap group Migos were present at the time of the shooting, according to Page Six. The police also confirmed that the victim is a black man in his 20s.

According to the report, two other people were also shot and taken to a hospital. Quavo himself is said to have been unharmed.

Just hours before the shooting, Takeoff posted a selfie from the bowling alley that was featured on his Instagram story.

Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, was the youngest member of Migos. Quavo was his uncle and Offset was his cousin. In 2013 they released their first big hit “Versace”. They reached number one on the Billboard charts in 2016 with “Bad and Boujee”. As a solo artist, Takeoff released one album – 2018’s The Last Rocket, which debuted at #4 in the US
