Among the nine members of this year’s Cannes Film Festival jury are US filmmakers Brie Larson and Paul Dano. The press office announced this today. The jury, headed by last year’s Palme winner Ruben Östlund (“Triangle of Sadness”), consists of five men and four women.

They decide which of the 21 films in the competition on May 27th will win the Palme d’Or. In addition to Östlund, the French director Julia Ducournau, who won the Palme d’Or for her film “Titane” in 2021, is also part of the jury.

Also included are Moroccan actress and director Maryam Touzani, French actor Denis Ménochet, Zambian-born director and screenwriter Rungano Nyoni, Afghan-born French documentary filmmaker Atiq Rahimi, and Argentinian director Damián Szifrón.
