Duchess Meghan (41) has signed with the US artist agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) to expand their business activities. The company announced this via social media.
“We are honored to announce that WME is now representing Meghan, Duchess of Sussex on all matters,” WME said in the post. “The agency will focus on growing its business ventures in multiple areas […] including film and television production, brand partnerships and more.”
With the new contract, Meghan will now be represented by Ari Emanuel. He is supported by top agents Brad Slater and Jill Smoller, among others.
As “Variety” reports, the agency will also represent Meghan and Prince Harry’s (38) media label within their company Archewell. “Acting will not be a focus,” says the industry magazine.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex launched Archewell shortly after retiring from their roles as working royals in 2020. The organization is named after the Greek word “source of action”, which was also the basis for the name of their son Archie (soon to be 4). The organization also includes a non-profit foundation called the Archewell Foundation, which its website says was created to “unleash the power of compassion to drive systemic cultural change.”
Meghan and Harry’s business ventures have continued to expand since they emigrated to the US. Among other things, the pair have forged a multi-year partnership between Spotify and their production company Archewell Audio, which has led to the development of Meghan’s Archetypes podcast. In December, they released the Netflix docu-series Harry
Britain’s Prince Harry and former American actress Meghan Markle tied the knot in Windsor in 2018. Son Archie was born in London in May 2019 and daughter Lilibet in California in June 2021.
