The actress Keisha Nash (1972-2023), who was married to Hollywood star Forest Whitaker (62) from 1996 to 2018, has died at the age of 51. Whitaker and Nash’s daughter, True Whitaker, confirmed her mother’s death in an Instagram Story she shared on Thursday. A cause of death was not initially made public.

“Farewell mom. I love you forever and beyond,” True, 25, wrote alongside a black and white photo of her mother. “The most beautiful woman in the world… Thank you for teaching me everything I know. I will see you in my dreams and I will feel you in my heart.”

According to Deadline, Forest Whitaker and Keisha Nash met on the set of the 1994 film Blown Away. She is said to have been cast in the role of Whitaker’s character’s girlfriend. In a 2020 interview with “Essence,” Nash said she saw Whitaker in “A Rage in Harlem” (1991) before the two met. “I immediately thought Forest had a gentle soul and a good spirit,” she said at the time.

Whitaker proposed to the actress and producer a year after they met. Keisha Nash and he finally married in 1996 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
