Sofia Vergara – the actress who made many men’s hearts beat faster in the cult series “Modern Family” is back on the singles market after seven years of marriage. Last July, she announced her separation from her husband Joe Manganiello. The official reason for the separation was “irreconcilable differences” and the separation was dated July 2nd in the divorce papers.

Sofia Vergara then went on vacation with friends in Italy and apparently threw herself into work. On January 25th, a new Netflix series called “Griselda” starts in which Vergara plays the main role, the real Colombian cartel boss Griselda Blanco.

Apparently the 51-year-old now wants to concentrate on finding a new partner. As a guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the actress, who actually lives in Los Angeles, says that she is now spending more time in New York. And there’s a very simple reason for that: “I love it. Who doesn’t love New York City? The people there, the energy. I think that you have more options with men too,” and adds with a smile that she is now single.

Of course, the host of the show, Jimmy Fallon, uses this template for more specific questions. Vergara added: “I’m single now and there are more people in New York. Above all, it’s not just actors, writers or directors, I think there’s a bigger pool. I’ll spend more time in New York.”

The well-known actress also considers the Big Apple to be more suitable for the dates themselves than her place of residence. She particularly likes the food in New York, as well as the energy and the men: “There’s great food for dates there. It’s better, yes,” she praises the cuisine. So if you want to increase your chances of a date with the beauty, you should currently be in New York.
