The Dresden “Tatort” commissioner Martin Brambach likes excursions into the world of streaming productions. In the meantime he has already filmed a few things there, including the drama series “Sam – Ein Sachse” for Disney.
“It was my first job for a streaming service,” said the actor of the German Press Agency. They are “much freer or give the creative people a lot more freedom”. He “definitely tasted blood,” he confessed. “It’s great when you get offers like this as a creative or actor, it’s great for the team that there’s a market like this at the moment.”
Brambach is currently back in front of the camera as chief Peter Michael Schnabel at a Dresden “crime scene”. The slacking investigator will remain with viewers, he revealed. “I intend to keep doing this longer,” said Brambach. “I enjoy this role and I think it’s far from over.” He also has the feeling that she likes the audience. “You don’t get that very often as an actor.”
Since the end of April, two more episodes have been produced on behalf of MDR. “Under Fire” and “Heart of Darkness” are cases number eleven and twelve of the Schnabel team with chief inspectors Karin Gorniak (Karin Hanczewski) and Leonie Winkler (Cornelia Gröschel), who have been investigating together since 2019. They are scheduled to be broadcast in 2024 and 2025 – and this fall first “What you don’t see”.
