He is certainly not the only one who is not particularly fond of the actions of the so-called last generation. But perhaps he is one of the most famous critics of young climate activists: Til Schweiger. The actor (“Manta, Manta”) and film producer now expressed himself in an interview in the “Bild” with clear words. And he will probably have to put up with some criticism for his part. Because Schweiger did not mince his words.
“I don’t know what I do when I’m stuck in traffic and miss an important appointment because they’re stuck there,” he said. “Then I’ll definitely get out too. I saw the video of someone pulling off a climate sticker. I think I would do the same.” He doesn’t seem to have given much thought to the goals of the demonstrators – for the 59-year-old, it might be a bad time for that, as he has just presented his exhaust-heavy new film “Manta, Manta 2”.
However, the actor seems not only concerned about being late, but also has a bigger problem with the climate activists. Compared to “Bild” he also expressed assumptions that sounded like conspiracy theories: “Some of them get paid for it, they get up to 1,500 euros a month for it. There are even training camps where they learn, among other things, which glue is used for which best weather conditions,” he reports. His conclusion: “The climate stickers are a big plague in this country!”
And it’s not just the environmentalists on the street who seem to go against Schweiger’s grain, he also doesn’t like Green politician Robert Habeck at all: “I would think it would be great if Robert Habeck would stick himself. Then he wouldn’t be able to screw up so much crap.” , the actor quips. In general, he thinks little of politicians and believes that nobody can be successful in the free economy. But even the Economics Minister doesn’t make him as angry as the last generation: “What do I think of them? They’re complete idiots.”
