Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has given the green light to extend Metro rail services to the proposed Future City, marking a significant step towards enhancing public transportation infrastructure in the region. The plan includes connecting the airport with the Young India Skills University in Future City, a sprawling 30,000-acre development that holds promise for the future.
The envisioned Metro route will extend up to Mirkhanpet, strategically designed to meet the evolving demands of the region in the years to come. As part of the preparation process, officials have been tasked with drafting a comprehensive project report that outlines the financial requirements for the expansion, to be submitted to the Central Government for approval.
In a bid to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration, Chief Minister Reddy has underscored the importance of involving key stakeholders such as the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and the Future City Development Authority in the development of the new Metro network.
