The Dax passed the 16,000 point mark on Friday. A few minutes after the opening, the leading German index rose by 0.35 percent to 16,002.99 points.
Thomas Altmann, portfolio manager at asset manager QC Partners, urged caution. At the moment there is a lack of confidence that sustainable price gains can still be achieved above 16,000 points. “In addition, there is the fear of a possible upcoming seasonal summer weakness,” emphasized Altmann.
The MDax for medium-sized companies rose by 0.50 percent to 27,329.56 points on Friday. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 was 0.1 percent higher.
