The first day of the entry into force of the screening of passengers from 16 countries considered to be at risk, where the coronavirus is circulating strongly, 556 travellers have had to submit to a test in Paris (2 672 passengers who arrived at Roissy and Orly), Saturday, 1 August, to know the ministry of the Interior. More exactly, the passengers from these countries, and older than 11 years of age, must present evidence of the outcome of a review of biological screening virological made less than 72 hours prior to the flight, not finding a contamination by the Covid-19. If this is not the case, they must be tested on site.

once the test is done, they need to leave their personal contact information and can continue their journey in France or in transit, explains the ministry of the Interior in a press release. Passengers are re-contacted by the health authorities in the event of a positive result and then enter into the follow-up of “Contact tracing”.

Three refusals in Lyon

The borders being closed with these countries, the measure is only “French citizens residing in these countries, or of the citizens of these countries who have a stable residence in France”, as was stated by the prime minister Jean Castex.
