weekend-forecast-more-rain-ahead-for-nyc-area

Well, folks, this week has been a real doozy when it comes to rain. Wednesday really took the cake as the wettest day of the week, leaving us all soaked and miserable. But hold on to your umbrellas because the rain isn’t done with us just yet. It looks like we’re in for a few more days of showers before we finally see the sun again.

As we roll out of bed on Thursday morning, we can expect to see some cloudy skies, but at least they’ll be dry. No more messy commutes like we had on Wednesday, thank goodness. However, don’t get too excited because Thursday is still going to be a bit foggy. It’s like the weather just can’t make up its mind these days.

Despite the somewhat dry start to Thursday, we can expect some isolated showers to pop up in the afternoon and evening. Nothing too heavy, just some light to moderate passing showers. So, keep that umbrella handy, but you might not actually need it. Friday and Saturday are also looking like more of the same with scattered showers in the forecast. And hey, there might even be some thunder, but don’t worry, it’ll be isolated. Just when you thought the rain was finally giving us a break, huh?

If you’re planning on catching the Subway Series starting on Friday, be prepared for a passing shower or two during Games 1 and 2. Don’t worry about delays or postponements, though. And if you’ve got a ticket for Sunday’s game, you’re in luck because the skies should be much drier for Game 3. All in all, it looks like we’re looking at less than an inch of rain for the rest of the week. The Hudson Valley might see a bit more, but nothing too crazy.

This month has really been a wet one, huh? May is shaping up to be quite soggy, but at least we haven’t had any major flooding issues. The rain has been spread out enough to give the ground time to soak it all up. So, keep that umbrella close by and hope for the best. The rain might be scattered, but we should still see more dry time than wet time as we head into the weekend.
