Agents of the National Police saved the life of a 52-year-old man, who had suffered a heart attack while exercising, after performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers on him until the arrival of medical services.

On the morning of last Sunday, a citizen requested a staff from the National Police in Citizen Security work, since a man had suddenly collapsed in Lo Morant park while exercising, specifically while he was running.

The agents continued for approximately fifteen minutes and without rest, carrying out resuscitation techniques on the man, having to relieve each other until they finally managed to stabilize him, until the arrival of a SAMU health indicator, who continued with the medical assistance in the place having to make use of a defibrillator even three times before being transferred by the same health workers to the General Hospital of Alicante, still unconscious but stabilized.

The 52-year-old man of Spanish nationality, who was undocumented at the time he was helped, is currently admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Alicante General Hospital, although the hospital’s medical service states that he is stable .
