sunny-mothers-day-weekend-ahead-bye-bye-rain

The big ol’ shield of rain that has been bothering us pretty much all day is finally skedaddling out of here in a hurry. The evening commute is gonna be a pain with those pesky damp roads, but at least the worst of the rain will be saying goodbye, for now.

So, like, Friday has been nothing but a non-stop shower party here in the tri-state. But hey, here’s the good news – the weekend is looking up, my friends. The skies are gonna dry up faster than you can say “rain, rain, go away,” giving us a sunny and warm weekend to look forward to. And guess what? Mother’s Day is gonna be absolutely gorgeous.

The low pressure thingamajig that’s been causing all this wet stuff will be making its grand exit to the northeast by Friday night. Central and South Jersey will be the first ones to dry off, while those folks up in the Hudson Valley might have to wait a tad longer for the rain to leave.

Come Saturday morning, most of us will wake up to dry skies. There might be a random sprinkle or two lingering north of New York City, but it ain’t gonna be nothing too serious. Just a light drizzle here and there, no biggie.

By Saturday afternoon, it’s gonna be all sunshine and rainbows (well, maybe not rainbows, but you get the idea). Temperatures will be climbing back up to the low 70s, perfect weather for any outdoor activities you’ve got planned. Just a heads up though, even though the skies will be clear, the ground will probably still be soggy.

Sunday is when things really start looking up. We’re talking upper 70s to 80 degrees, full-on sunshine, and low humidity. It’s gonna be the ideal day for any outdoor shindigs, like a nice Mother’s Day brunch. You can thank me later for the perfect weather.

The good times keep on rolling through Tuesday. Showers might make a comeback on Wednesday, but honestly, it ain’t gonna be anything like what we dealt with on Friday. So, like, no need to stress about that just yet.

And that’s a wrap, folks. The rain is finally giving us a break, the sun is shining, and the weekend is looking mighty fine. Get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather while you can. Maybe grab a cold one and soak up some Vitamin D. Who knows when the next rainy spell will hit us again, right?
