So, like, apparently, there was a shooting at a tech college in Southern California. The mayor of Inglewood, James Butts, said that two women got shot on campus and had to be rushed to the hospital. The whole thing went down around 4 p.m. at the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology Campus.
According to Butts, the suspect is still on the loose. The cops don’t think the person is still hanging around the campus, but they did a full-on search room by room, just in case. The shooting went down in an office at the school, and it seems like it was a case of workplace violence. The two women who got shot are actually employees of the school, and apparently, the suspect used to work there too.
One of the victims is in critical condition, which is pretty scary stuff. The Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed that two people were taken to the hospital. A bunch of cops were seen outside the campus in Inglewood, which is a bit southwest of LA. The Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology has campuses all over the country, and the Inglewood one has about 500 students. They focus on aviation maintenance technology and are super close to the airport.
So, kinda crazy stuff happening in Inglewood today. Not really sure why this matters, but it’s always a shock to hear about these things going down in our own backyard. Let’s hope they catch the suspect soon and that the victims recover quickly. Stay safe out there, folks.
