In total, more than 150 scholarships will be distributed by 37 member schools of Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan).
The scholarships will be good for at least one year of free tuition. However, the generosity of the schools does not stop at these scholarships. Other types of support are also offered, such as housing assistance, mental health support or language training.
“Canada’s colleges and institutes have long played a global leadership role in attracting students from around the world and providing them with a quality education, as well as responding to crises and responding to the needs of newcomers looking to settle in the country,” CICan President and CEO Denise Amyot said in a statement Thursday.
This initiative will allow Ukrainians to continue their studies in safety.
