The police arrested a 22-year-old man who allegedly stole inverters worth 100,000 euros from a solar park in the Neumarkt district. The suspect will be brought before an investigating judge on Saturday, who will decide on the question of detention, the police said.
Accordingly, the officials had checked the man’s van early on Saturday morning near Birgland (Amberg-Sulzbach district). They found 23 inverters for photovoltaic systems in the vehicle’s cargo area. During the inspection, it was determined that these had been stolen from the nearby solar park.
The police secured the stolen items and the van. An inverter is an electrical device that converts DC voltage to AC voltage.
