A British mountain guide has gone and done it again, folks! Kenton Cool, a 51-year-old from southwest England, has just reached the tippy top of Mount Everest for the 19th time, breaking his own record for the most ascents of the world’s highest mountain by a non-Sherpa guide. Now that’s what I call dedication!

Cool, alongside a bunch of other climbers, conquered the 8,849-meter (29,032-foot) peak on Sunday, with reports saying he was making his way down from the summit in good spirits. This guy first tackled Everest back in 2004 and has been coming back for more almost every year since then. Talk about a mountain addiction!

Unfortunately, Cool had to skip his Everest adventures in 2014 due to an avalanche that took the lives of 16 Sherpa guides, and again in 2015 when a massive earthquake caused another deadly avalanche. The 2020 climbing season? Well, that got the boot thanks to the pesky coronavirus pandemic. But hey, nothing can keep this guy away from his beloved Everest for too long!
