The EVG has called on its members to go on a nationwide warning strike on Monday. At the same time, members of the Verdi services union also laid down their work. Deutsche Bahn will therefore completely stop its long-distance traffic on Monday, but train passengers will probably have to expect delays and cancellations on Sunday evening and until Tuesday.

Even with DB Regio, which operates the regional traffic, according to the railway, there will be no train for the most part. Air transport and, in some federal states, local public transport are also affected by the strikes.

The EVG is negotiating a new collective agreement in 50 rail and bus companies nationwide. Over a period of one year, she calls for wage increases of a total of twelve percent, but at least 650 euros as a “social component”.
