The best automotive mechatronics engineers from all over the world have been finding their champion in Dresden since Tuesday. The organizers announced that representatives from 24 nations from five continents will be competing at the Worldskills of the industry until next Friday. The international professional competitions were actually supposed to take place in Shanghai this year for 61 trades. But because of the long lockdown, the Chinese metropolis had to cancel.
That’s why the Worldskills are now taking place in a “Special Edition” in 15 countries and regions, Germany is organizing nine competitions. The house of the motor vehicle trade in Dresden was selected for the mechatronics. Since 2018 it has been the sole national training center for the profession of automotive mechatronics technician at the Worldskills Germany association and regularly prepares international teams for European and world championships.
