Hey there, guess what? The New York International Auto Show is happening soon, from April 18 to 27, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. And get this — the DMV is gonna be there too! Yep, they’re setting up their mobile office at booth number NC 1, Second Level, North Concourse. How cool is that?
But wait, there’s more! The DMV staff won’t just be twiddling their thumbs, oh no. They’ll be processing REAL IDs and even doing Enhanced ID upgrades. Talk about multitasking, am I right?
I gotta say, it’s pretty awesome that the DMV is bringing their services to the auto show. Commissioner Mark J.F. Schroeder even said, “We are once again pleased to offer our customers an opportunity to do their DMV transactions at the Auto Show.” So, while you’re checking out all those shiny cars, you can also take care of your REAL ID and be all set for domestic flights.
Speaking of which, did you know that starting May 7, you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant ID to fly domestically? Yeah, better get on that ASAP.
Oh, and heads up — the DMV staff won’t be accepting cash at the auto show. But don’t worry, you can pay with checks, debit cards, credit cards, Google Wallet, or even Samsung or Apple Pay. So, no excuses, folks!
