The Phoenix Suns are currently the most exciting, exciting, and hottest team in the NBA. They’re a must-see television when they play.
They’re great fun!
What about when they aren’t playing? What can a Suns-starved Suns fan do on an off night when they’re not playing?
“Courtside,” a series of short videos online that shows what it takes to get a WNBA or NBA team onto the court, will be online starting at noon on Friday. The series will feature both the Suns as well as the Phoenix Mercury.
“Each episode will take viewers behind the scenes of different aspects of our players’ lives and what it takes for the best team in the NBA to perform, look its absolute best,” said a statement on “Courtside”.
The first episode features the Verizon 5G Performance Center
Episodes are usually five to six minutes long.
This first video uses amazing drone footage to take viewers on an exciting tour of Verizon 5G Performance Center. The $45 million complex is where players train, eat and practice. In 2020, the 53,000-square foot building was opened at 44th Street and Camelback Road.
Viewers can see the kitchen, weight room, and practice court. There’s also a beautiful lounge area. Why should you leave?
You could have a lot of these in your home if you had a salary from the NBA. Still.)
Ryan Resch, vice president of basketball strategy and evaluation for the team, said in the video that “it’s a basketball lab where we get to answer a lot smart, intelligent questions.” He says that technology allows them to address them. This includes over 100 cameras and sensors that can monitor, for example, the shooting style of a player.
James Jones, Suns’ general manager says, “We invest resources, but our players invest time.”
They have definitely invested the resources. It’s amazing.
The Suns’ executive chef Brendan Ayers shows off the Suns kitchen in the second episode. It includes storage areas that are similar to those in “The Shining,” but friendlier.
He says, “We want to take care these ingredients as best as we can, treat them like gold, like our players.”
“Courtside” is definitely for Suns fans. It’s more fun than hard hitting
Ayers also discusses some appliances that are not as common as what people use in their homes. An oven is one example.
He says, “Love to talk about him right here.” This oven can do everything, including poaching, steaming and grilling. I can even make fried rice in it. This equipment is life-saving. You can roast fish, roast roast prime rib, fried poultry, or roast fish.
Future episodes will feature players, although there is no set number.
“Courtside” was created by the Suns to be enjoyed by Suns fans. It’s not a tell-all, gritty series. “Hard Knocks” it’s not. It is a fascinating look at the facilities and the work involved in getting players on the court and keeping them there. It will be loved by fans.
