So, like, apparently the Supreme Court is getting all up in arms about parents wanting to pull their kids out of LGBTQ+ storybooks at school. I mean, who knew that this would be such a big deal? It’s all going down in Montgomery County, Md., where some of the justices live, and they’re all about protecting religious rights and stuff. Not really sure why this matters, but the parents are like, “No way, we don’t want our kids reading these books.” And the school board is all, “But it promotes mutual respect!”
Seems like the parents are super upset about books like “Pride Puppy” and “Love, Violet,” where kids are learning about same-sex relationships and gender identity. The school board is like, “Nah, it’s all about diversity and inclusion,” but the parents are not having it. They’re taking this all the way to the Supreme Court, where they’re arguing about the right to opt out of this curriculum. I guess we’ll see how this all pans out in the end, but it sounds like a pretty heated debate.
