A month later, Congress got their hands on the transcript and made it public. However, the Biden administration wasn’t too keen on releasing the actual audio recording, claiming executive privilege and all that jazz.
The Trump administration, on the other hand, was all set to spill the beans and release the entire audio, despite objections from Biden officials who feared it could discourage future high-profile individuals from cooperating with investigators. The timing of this audio leak is interesting, especially considering recent reports alleging that Biden and his inner circle tried to cover up signs of his declining mental faculties during his time in office.
