Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, was all like, “Yeah, we’re gonna have a full and immediate ceasefire.” And then, officials from India were like, “Yeah, us too, we’re down for that ceasefire thing.”
President Donald Trump, in his usual social media style, was all over this news and announced the ceasefire online. He was like, “Finally, after a long night of talking, India and Pakistan are gonna chill out and stop fighting. Good job, guys, for using your brains and not just throwing punches. Thanks for listening to me ramble on about this!” It’s like, wow, okay, Trump, we hear you.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio also confirmed that he and Vice President JD Vance had been talking to both sides to make this ceasefire happen. It’s like they were the peace negotiators in a big game of international conflict resolution.
And then there were these big protests in Pakistan, with people holding banners of their army dude and the Hindu symbol ‘Om’. It was like a big party for peace or something. Good vibes all around.
Rubio was all about giving props to the Prime Ministers of both countries, Modi and Sharif, for being all wise and stuff. He was like, “You guys are killing it with this peace thing, keep it up.”
