Alarm at a district school in Hamburg-Blankenese: Two young people or children are said to have been at school with a gun on Wednesday afternoon and threatened a teacher, as the local police announced on Wednesday. The police spoke of a threat situation, not an act of violence. The situation has now calmed down. Emergency services brought children from the school to safety and searched the area for the young people.

The police were further reported that the two people then left the classroom and fled somewhere unrecognized, said a police spokesman. This is now being checked. They are said to be two male, rather young people. The operation has been running since 11 a.m. On X, the Hamburg police write that the school will be searched and students will be taken out of the building. The contact point for parents is the Reich President Ebert Barracks, where the evacuees are taken by bus. There is psychological support on site.

There are no indications of injuries. In the morning, the police received information about an unclear threat situation at the district school. She is at work with many forces. The area around the school was largely cordoned off. Police helicopters are circling above the school. Blankenese is located on the Elbe and is considered a rather wealthy district. The Blankenese district school has around 1,150 students – around 400 of them in the upper secondary school alone. They are taught by more than 120 teachers.

The area will be cordoned off extensively. All drivers are asked to avoid the area.
