The 20th season of “Grey’s Anatomy” starts in the USA in spring next year. The successful hospital series will enter its anniversary round on March 14, 2024. The German premiere on ProSieben usually follows six months after the premiere in the USA.
It is not yet known how many episodes the 20th season will contain. Due to the scriptwriters’ strike in the USA, there were rumors that the new season might only have half as many episodes as usual, i.e. around ten episodes.

In the new episodes, the responsibility should be distributed across several shoulders of the actors. There should be a greater focus on training doctors again.
There are also changes behind the scenes. Longtime showrunner Krista Vernoff is turning her back on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Replacing her is Meg Marinis, who previously served as writer and producer on the longest-running prime-time hospital series of all time.
Season 19 ended with a major cliffhanger. Teddy (Kim Raver, 54) collapsed in the middle of the operating room. But since Kim Raver is also in the new season, she will apparently survive…
